Work Experience
- Over six years of experience as a software engineer specializing in server-side development for online services.
- Lead development on the OAuth implementation for the Flickr API and support for mobile partners who integrated with it.
- Created a contact suggestion algorithm for Flickr, to help users find people who might be relevant to them based on their current relationships.
- Worked on the integration with the Facebook API that allowed automatic uploads to be pushed to Facebook.
- Worked on the implementation of Open ID and Facebook login for Flickr using the Yahoo! single-sign on service.
- Working on an Android note taking application, Chalk Notes, which synchronizes with Ubuntu One.
- Contributing to open source projects such as Launchpad, Gwibber, and Unity and Nux.
- Integrated sales with the Disneyland API to provide real-time order confirmation and creation of PDF voucher.
- Created an email campaign manager using Zend Framework that sends weelky to a mailing list of over 10,000 subscribers and report statistics on the number of opens, clicks, bounces, and unsubscribes each campaign receives.
- Lead developer for the rebuild of JTA (www.jta.org) using ExpressionEngine, which required extensive customization as modules and extensions to provide the features required by the project. Created a completely custom gallery system that allowed the client to upload and crop images, load videos uploaded to YouTube, and organize galleries and link them to stories. Also created a module to add social networking capabilities that the members of the site can use to share stories, friend other users and communicate from within JTA.
- Implemented a search index that imported from the MLS realty system for Heather The Realtor (www.heathertherealtor.com) which contains roughly 70,000 listings for Central Florida.
